The Twin II is a
two seater airplane with a T-tail, fitted with non
retractable tandem undercarriage and upper surface
air brakes. It is designed for training, high
performance and simple aerobatics. The 'Twin' is
sometimes called unkindly 'The Pig', but no matter
what she is called she is the main training
aircraft of the club and many pilots have fallen in
love with gliding after a single flight in her. To
the HFC she is a 'lady' worthy of respect. Some
have said she is a 'gentleman's glider', I can but
agree.
